nancy dawn clemo is a photographer, turned painter, returned photographer who graduated from OCADU in 2011. majoring in drawing & painting, minoring in photography, nancy completed her BFA while working as a conservation picture framer, shop manager and gallery assistant. nancy’s passion for framing can often be seen in the unique presentation of her work which is always framed, by the artist, with archival and conservation materials.
the work
clemo is currently focused on analog photography, shooting on film, printing in the darkroom and analog print collage. in the past she has experimented with mixed media photo collage, photo transfers and drawing/painting on print surfaces. clemo is drawn to industrial landscapes but has been experimenting with colour and tone as alternate to subject matter.
clemo is currently working on 2 bodies of work industria & occulus sculptures.
